contestants required. Maximum 7 couples for Stage & 15 for Salon.

TANGOXPOSED- 3nd MiniTangochampionship is now officially open.
Please be informed of the procedures to join the competition.
It is a pre-requisite that contestants must be registered Tangoxposed participants.

It is in the spirit of camaraderie and goodwill that contestants will be chosen on a
first come first served basis, where each regional city will be represented by
qualified participants to compete in the two contested categories. It is expected
that those whowill qualify shall already know the rules and procedures of the
championship as mandated below.
All entries shall be screened by a stirring committee within our administration
which will thendecide theline-up of contestants based on the above requisites.

Guidelines for Salon:
a) General rule - Embrace above everything. Couples are not allowed to separate so
longas the music is playing. They are not allowed to break the embrace.
b) All movements shall be performed within the space allowed by the embrace.
c) The panel of judges shall consider the following criteria:
*Musicality - 40%
*Elegance - 30%
*Walking Style - 30%
d) Within these guidelines, particpants may perform any figures commonly used from
barridas, sacadas close to the floor, enrosques etc..
e) Ganchos, leaps, trepadas and other typical stage tango choreography are absolutely
prohibited.
f) Couples shall constantly move to the line of dance (counter-clockwise) as in the
milongas andshall avoid remaining in the same place to avoid disrupting the circulation in
the dance floor.
g) No dancer is allowed to raise his/her leg above the knee line.
Guidelines for Tango Ecsenario
a) Participants are given artistic freedom to interpret tango which means that they may use
movements , figures and techniques unrelated to traditional tango.
b) They are allowed to break the embrace and use other techniques from other dance
discipline to enhance their performance.
c) Participants may choose alternative music for their performance piece.
d) The panel of judges shall consider the following criteria:
*Choreographic composition - 15%
*Keeping the Tango Essence intact - 15%
*Choreographic & Postural techniques- 10%
*Synchronicity, Body & Space alignment-10
*Choreographic effects & Interpretation- 10%
*Costume & Make-up- 10%
*Musical Accuracy- 30%
